  • At the recent committee meeting a proposed calendar of events was discussed. The plan is to run a minimum of three Tyro's, two RTV's, an off-road Treasure Hunt, an on-road Treasure Hunt, navigational training and a Navigational Rally or two. Once the dates have been checked to ensure there are no clashes we will publish the list in the Event Calendar section. (07/01/08)

This is text for the searchers. It talks about how a Land Rover is sometimes better than a Suzuki, but not always, and how both compare to a Honda HRV or CRV or even a Renault Kangoo. It mentions green lanes, greenlanes and greenlaning in Scotland. We will get permission to play off road from the people who own the land including farmers and the forestry commission. Then you can take your Isuzu Trooper or Jeep and get it muddy using a winch or even winches to pull it out of the dirt. We even have Range Rovers, a Discovery, Jeeps, Ford Ranger or Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin. Then there is motor sport permitted by the MSA, such as a Tyro or RTV trial, or a CCVT as well as comp safaris and Hill Rallies. We have vehicles with CB radio and amateur radio, mud tyres and all terrain tyres. If you want to drive your 4x4 or even 6x6 vehicle with its v8 or turbo diesel engine anywhere in Scotland, then you need to come and talk to the Scotia Cross Country Mororsport Club, because driving in the country is what we love doing, just like our friends in SORC – the Scottish Off Road Club, SLROC – the Scottish Land Rover owners club, SHRC – Scottish Hill Rally Club, Ae 4x4 club and Tay 4x4 club.
